Top: this is how I tie rope to my bow so later I can drag it up the tree stand.
It is a simple noose with a stopper knot.
Noose is nice because the loop is sliding, will tighten when you pull.
The stopper knot is tripple overhand knot. It is much bigger than a simple overhand or figure 8 stopper knot.
Lower Left: the other end of rope tieing to the tree stand. I used a clover hitch with tripple half hitches. You can also use two round and two half hitches or a bowline.
Also for climber tree stand. Make sure you bring a serrated knife to cut/saw off tree limbs.
Why does that matter? Because a noose is often associated with hanging as a capital punishment, as well as lynching of colored folks in the past, particularly in the case of hangman's noose.
Nowadays it's no longer a "politically correct" terminology. Just be careful when you say it.
Back in the Navy a white kid i knew got in trouble because be tied a 13 looped hangman's noose at work. That's how sensitive people are today.
