KAC SR-13E3 初射靶场报告

憋了一个星期，在上午做牛做马伺候小娃们+给LD放假之后，下午终于有两个小时去靶场第一次打新进的KAC SR-15E3。没有大牛带，只好自己装BI自己去靶场。
NND，靶场里人山人海，25条lane居然全满，真叫是：“远望过去，一片红脖”。（嗯，包括我，一个 Gun-loving, over-educated, Chinese Red-neck）也难怪，附近几十里内最便宜的室内空调靶场，肯定受欢迎。
先是把红点关了，用铁瞄。不是很成功，因为靶场太暗，实在很难透过aimpoint pro看铁瞄。下面第一张靶纸左下方的都是铁瞄打的。下次还是在装红点之前试铁瞄吧。
然后开了aimpoint pro，手持，25yard。用了四组5发zero-in。然后是手持打了20发，见第一张靶纸，group在4 inch左右。
打了两组以后用了一个为airgun买的UTG cheap bipod，真是容易太多了，见第二张靶纸，25 yard， 10发group。
最后还是改回手持了，20发group，4 inch左右，见第三张靶纸。
总结：
1） 红点比铁瞄容易太多了，bipod比手持容易太多了
2）aimpoint的红点不错，这个pro还是重了一些。
3）先用的independence的ammo，怎么打后有一股臭味。然后用的Federal 100发的Walmart大盒，几乎没有味道。总共打了130发，没有任何问题。
第一次打AR，希望各位AR大牛指教。@happyfrog，应你要求发靶场体验，这个group的程度算正常么？希望早看到你的靶场报道。

Thanks man. On line review usually reports ~1 moa, which translates to 25 yard, I think, should be about 1/4" group. Probably it has some player factor in your shooting, since it's your first time.

Will post mine when I get a chance to shoot it.

Happyfrog, I saw this kind of report too. You are most likely right--I am still a spring chicken, have not shot rifle for 20 years.
Really don't know how to achieve the 1 MoA with a red-dot, at 100 yards away the damn dot would be as big as the target....Oh well it's just me...

Me Neither. I guess that must be done with a scope or reddot, at least not possible with iron sight for common shooters like us. But after some practice, we should at least do 2 moa I think, just like pistol shooting, after some shooting, we can do about twice the dispersion as professionals.

Well, just enjoy it. At least it should be reliable. How do you feel about the recoil? Do you feel anything? It's supposed to be extra smooth and soft due to the long gas tube(between mid-length and rifle length)? Is cleaning after shooting a messy job?

I checked again the price for this rifle online, 2050 is about the lowest price you can find, so, not a bad deal at all. :  )

The challenge with me is time, with two little babies and both me and my wife are full-time working, and little help from parents, can't really find a time to go for rifle range(we have to pay pricey yearly membership fee for any outdoor range which is not worthy for me now). I only shot my handgun 3 times last year.

BTW, how does your upper fit your lower receiver? There is a little bit wiggling on left to right, but pretty tight on up to down direction.

happyfrog the new dad: hang in there buddy. I was in your shoes two years ago, there was really no life. Now that my younger one is almost 3, I can finally see the light at the end of tunnel--it better not be a coming train...
It takes great strength to forget about the toys and takes care of the family, but your devotion to the family will be handsomely rewarded by happy kids and wife....
As for the questions you asked:
1) I agree that I need practice. KAC does NOT kick but I realized I still have some recoil anticipation, and that certainly does not help my grouping. Unfortunately I am a sensitive wuss, it took me >1000 rounds to get used to the recoil of 9mm.
2) As I mentioned the recoil is not too bad but I really have no comparison. The muzzle did jump but not bad, the site that I bought my gun (boltcarrier.com) has MAMS but I can not justify $300 for a muzzle device.
3) I won't say it's very messy cleaning. There was quite a bit carbon on the bolt, I do suspect that the funny-smelling Independence ammo was the culprit, a toothbrush worked well. I can usually cleaning my P226 in 10 min, the KAC took me 30 minutes (well it's just the first time)
4) If I shake the rifle really hard, there was just a bit wiggling which is hardly noticeable, while the LMT stock wiggled much louder
