Range report

Sorry for typing English. Went to range last weekend to try out my M&P 40L Pro (178032) and newly acquired 40L PRO CORE (178059). I brought with me 100 round mixed ammo and 100 round PPU ammo (180gn JHP).

Mixed ammo consisted of Winchester 165gn FMJ and 180gn JHP, Fiocchi 170gn FMJ, American Eagle 165gn fmj and PPU 180gn JHP.

When I shot mixed ammo loaded into mags with KKM barrel, I got FTF 1-2 times per mag on both guns. But KKM barrel functioned flawlessly on both if I shot PPU ammo only. And I got tighter groupings as long as I didn't get a malfunction with KKM. Using stock barrel, there's no any hiccups on both guns whether I shot mixed or PPU ammo.

I also brought with me 50 round AE 125 grain 357sig FMJ and a Storm-Lake barrel for that, which worked on both guns like a champion. Kudos to SL!

As for the trigger on CORE, I didn't think its noticeably better in terms of grittiness and over long pre-traval. Also I didn't notice a more crisp reset. But that doesn’t bother me as I plan to smooth it out by shooting more rounds through both of them.

Anyone can shed some light on the cause of FTF when shooting with KKM? I would highly appreciate that. Thanks.
