from BACH: WHY GUN OWNERS SHOULD VOTE
|

Dear Fellow Gun Owner:
In nearly 20 years as a Second Amendment activist, I have never written a letter like this.
I am writing to ask you to support U.S. Senate Candidate Bob Hugin.
Although Bob Hugin has received a grade of "?" (question mark) from NRA (because he has not completed the candidate questionnaire necessary to receive a letter grade), he has stated one significant fact that impels me to write this short note urging you to support him: Hugin has stated that he would support U.S. Supreme Court nominees of President Trump like Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.
Regardless of Bob Hugin's position on specific Second Amendment issues, the composition of the U.S. Supreme Court is the ultimate issue that will make or break the Second Amendment itself. We have watched the future of the Second Amendment teeter on a razor's edge for several decades. We must seize this rare, important opportunity to continue to tip the Supreme Court in favor of the Second Amendment and to lock that support in for decades. New Jersey finally has a chance to make a difference on conservative U.S. Supreme Court nominees!
Libertarian gubernatorial candidate Murray Sabrin is a friend of mine, and is someone I have supported in the past. I was shocked and disappointed to recently see him say that Brett Kavanaugh should not have been confirmed to the U.S. Supreme Court. I recognize that no one is a perfect choice, but I am ultimately a pragmatist. In my opinion it was irresponsible to say that Kavanaugh should have been thrown out at a time when it was unclear whether President Trump would ever be in the same posture to nominate Supreme Court Justices.
Because the race between Hugin and incumbent Bob Menendez is so close, and because the stakes for the future of Freedom itself are so high, I am writing to share my personal viewpoint with you now. Help finish Menendez - Please support Bob Hugin for U.S. Senate and help secure the future of Freedom -- the U.S. Supreme Court.
