ATF Declares the Franklin Armory Reformation a GCA/SBS Shotgun, Halts All Retail Sales

因为 GCA 里 shotgun 的定义相对于 NFA 里的定义少了 "in a fixed shotgun shell" 几个字，而光膛的截面不一定要是圆形的，所以 Reformation 的直膛线也能(勉强)算作 smooth bore。

GCA Definitions

The term “shotgun” means a weapon designed or redesigned, made or remade, and intended to be fired from the shoulder and designed or redesigned and made or remade to use the energy of an explosive to fire through a smooth bore either a number of ball shot or a single projectile for each single pull of the trigger.

NFA Definitions

The term “shotgun” means a weapon designed or redesigned, made or remade, and intended to be fired from the shoulder and designed or redesigned and made or remade to use the energy of the explosive in a fixed shotgun shell to fire through a smooth bore either a number of projectiles (ball shot) or a single projectile for each pull of the trigger, and shall include any such weapon which may be readily restored to fire a fixed shotgun shell.

这是有史以来第一只 GCA-Title-II-but-non-NFA Short Barreled Shotgun，不需要邮票，不需要注册，但要遵守 GCA SBS 销售和跨州运输的规定，而 ATF 还没有具体规则和表格怎么进行。师母已呆 ......
