请问申请CCW的利弊？

阅读了FJC的大作之后才知道有CCW之后警察会对持有者更友好，看来我的担心是多余的了。
如果有了CC ...

问题越来越难了。尤其是跟各州的法律和gun free zone（assailant kill free zone）接轨。

根据我个人（不是律师）的理解，对于你提出的假设的问题，我纠结的地方在于三个：

• 加州对于子弹弹匣数目的限制
• 天天随我跑。跑的地方会有细节问题（比如gun free zone的parking）
• 上膛的枪。你看看加州： http://oag.ca.gov/firearms/travel 里面关键字是unloaded, locked container。我觉得你第二点符合，但是unloaded不符合。

As used in Sections 17740, 23925, 25105, 25205, 25135, and 25610, in Article 3 (commencing with Section 25505) of Chapter 2 of Division 5 of Title 4, in Chapter 6 (commencing with Section 26350) of Division 5 of Title 4, and in Chapter 7 (commencing with Section 26400) of Division 5 of Title 4, "locked container" means a secure container that is fully enclosed and locked by a padlock, keylock, combination lock, or similar locking device. The term "locked container" does not include the utility or glove compartment of a motor vehicle.

25505. In order for a firearm to be exempted under this article, while being transported to or from a place, the firearm shall be unloaded and kept in a locked container, and the course of travel shall include only those deviations between authorized locations as are reasonably necessary under the circumstances.

25610. (a) Section 25400 shall not be construed to prohibit any citizen of the United States over the age of 18 years who resides or is temporarily within this state, and who is not prohibited by state or federal law from possessing, receiving, owning, or purchasing a firearm, from transporting or carrying any pistol, revolver, or other firearm capable of being concealed upon the person, provided that the following applies to the firearm: (1) The firearm is within a motor vehicle and it is locked in the vehicle's trunk or in a locked container in the vehicle. (2) The firearm is carried by the person directly to or from any motor vehicle for any lawful purpose and, while carrying the firearm, the firearm is contained within a locked container. (b) The provisions of this section do not prohibit or limit the otherwise lawful carrying or transportation of any pistol, revolver, or other firearm capable of being concealed upon the person in accordance with the provisions listed in Section 16580.

A handgun placed in a locked in a container in the vehicle other than the utility or glove compartment or while in a locked container carried directly to or from a vehicle is deemed not to be “concealed.” A locked container means a fully enclosed secure container locked by a key lock or similar locking device.
